About the event

The hard truth about the #1 recommended intervention for children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, is that not everyone is provided access to such therapy. Possible reasons for limited access include being underinsured, having no coverage for ABA services, and having no insurance. Parent training allows parents to make the most out of their ABA services and continue with receiving realistic benefits when direct intervention is not provided.

Our program considers the parents role in their child's journey. We use a program, "Roadmap to ABA Parent Training," which allows us to train parents with the concepts of ABA, by managing our expectations of the parents and setting goals that are that are realistic. We utilize a computerized program to help assist in setting individualized SMART goals, providing a parent training manual and workbook, and tracking progress while teaching ABA concepts to the parent.
